A lovely Shrine, continuing the line of shrines that have stood near here for almost two thousand years. The statue here has a papal crown, the formal decree regarding this is found on the right hand side of the Church, under the paiting of Blessed Richard Whiting.If you're coming for religious reasons the Shrine Rector Fr. Dr. Rowe is very approachable. The Secretary is also very helpful. I'd reccomend calling ahead to make sure the shrine is open before you travel though they have been staying open more and more in recent years.
Padre Bead is a great Preacher.
A large magnificent buliding.Inside not so impressive. It's the catholic church.
