Just check out the cqc rating from November./ Dec 2018 am looking elsewhere. I wasn't sure about the take over from Dr Edwards, but now I am....such a shame as it was an amazing surgery....
Brilliant service from start to finish. Had old fillings replaced with more aesthetically pleasing ones, being usually a pretty nervous patient, I felt very welcomed and at ease from the very moment I walked through the door. The treatment itself was of gold standard. The management and staff are all very professional and so friendly. Dr. K Hamidi made me feel relaxed and I'm overwhelmed with the overall treatment I have received. Thank you for a pleasant visit!
Having been a member of the practice since the days of Dr.Cooper (some time ago now!) it's nice to see the place hasn't changed much, some new faces but the same layout & much how I remember.Great to be back to my childhood practice!
I have been a patient of this practice for many years, but recently it has changed hands and it is no longer the welcoming, friendly, trustworthy place it used to be. It has had a complete change of staff, no one from Mr Edwards days works there anymore. You are met by a receptionist who obviously needs more customer service training, she managed to get my and another waiting patients name incorrect three times despite being corrected by both of us everytime, and having it on a computer screen in front of her face, her attitude is not fantastic, basically she does not give you a good impression from the start. I found that during the consultation the new dentist, Dr Kevin Hamidi does not explain what he is doing, and recommends treatments which are not necessary (I know this as I sought a second opinion else where at another private practice, one whom I shall now be taking my trade and money too), he uses a screen 40 cm away from your face at the end of the consultation to show you all your supposed dental defects, something that as a nervous patient like myself did not appreciate. He is not truthful I mentioned I knew I need a hygienist treatment but was aware it was a bit of a wait (3 months at that time) he said he could get me in sooner, not according to the receptionist, I was also over charged, the check up price was different on their website. You may wonder why Mr Kevin Hamidi does not have his name on a plaque by the door (like Mr Edwards before him and similar to other private dentists) .just google him, reviews for a previous practice he ran are not favourable either.
The dentist has a nice friendly atmosphere; from the moment you walk in. All the staff are very sympathetic, and understanding in what ever treatment you are having. You don't feel like you are being rushed though you treatment. And feel you are treated as a person not a number.
