I, and many many other people, have found Lawfords very helpful over many years. I expect they can sort out a very old lucas starter when i take it in later.
Took my alternator for repair, told me what was wrong with it and they would order the required parts and have it fixed in 7 days. Phoned me on the seventh day to tell me that actually it was unfixable due to the stator grounding to earth, a fault that should have been detected as soon as they looked at it. Spent 7 days stranded in Glastonbury with no alternator and now have to find a new one. The diesel fitter, Julian, is great but I will never trust them with anything like this again, very disappointed.
