Went for Sunday lunch with friends on their recommendation. Bit of a trek but.....what a great place. Sunday roasts were really good but also a wide range of other options including good veggie options. Desserts were fantastic. Service was just what you want on a Sunday: buzzy, friendly and efficient. Great range of drinks - cider especially. Family friendly with good range of kids choices - not just nuggets or pasta, dog friendly. What more could you want? Oh, really lovely room, riverside location and some outside tables that will be great on a summer evening. Will be going again.
There are not a lot of nice restaurants nearby and so you are often left with only a few and sometimes that means the quality can slip because you haven't got a choice. This, however, is a family friendly lovely place, with great live music the only downside is the music is often too loud which means if you are there for a meal it can be a little overpowering. It, however, has great food, great staff and a quirky decor

Charming, characterful pub set in beautiful rural Somerset. One of few pubs with a really good selection of real, local ciders. Friendly, hospitable staff and good food to boot. Will go back in summer to enjoy the terrace.
In my opinion the best pub in Somerset, a hidden gem to say the least. Great food, nice drinks, reasonably priced and a really cool atmosphere. Last thing you expect to find in the middle of rural Somerset
